Expand on the Feedback

Once you have patiently listened and mirrored back, you could possibly explore the feedback a little further. Some effective ways you can take it further is by asking questions like, “How do you think I could have done that differently?” Or, “What further skills would you suggest I equip myself with to be more successful?” and so on. Questions like this opens up the discussion slightly and will also make you aware of options for working on the feedback you have just received. While discussing, always remember to consciously be non-defensive but instead reflective.
