Speak to the child about online safety

Just like how we speak to our kids about being safe while crossing or walking on the road, we must speak to them about being safe while using the internet. Speak to them about what they learnt or researched on the computer, without being too intrusive. Depending on the age of the child, discuss with them the different dangers the internet can pose. Listening to them will encourage them to approach you if they feel suspicious or uncomfortable with anything they encounter online.
