Be non-confrontational
No matter how much we protect and monitor, children are bound to come across inappropriate content. If the child initially brings it to our attention or if we come across it, as parents we must address it in a calm and non-confrontational manner. If we shout at the child or get angry for receiving or accessing it, chances are that next time around they will not bring it to our attention, fearing our reaction. However if we are calm and if we acknowledge and appreciate the child for checking with us or bringing it to our attention, they are likely to do the same in future as well.
