Be totally transparent

As in all other matters, honesty is important when it comes to finance. This simply means that you need to be open and honest about the amount that you earn and you can expect your spouse to have the same level of honesty. Having a specific figure to work with makes it easier to budget and to meet the needs of the whole family. Some individuals tend to reveal a lower amount to their spouse and use the difference for their own expenses, unknown to their spouse. This lack of transparency and honesty will not work in the long run.
