Be yourself and embrace your own culture

Going abroad does not mean you need to speak and act like them. Be comfortable with your own accent but speak slowly and clearly so they understand you. Dress in clothes that are appropriate and you are comfortable in. You do not need to dress like everyone else. Most westerners are eager to learn about our culture, so consider telling them about life back home.
